Transitions from Old to New

As the calendar year winds down, it’s natural to think about old things ending and new things beginning. It’s a driving theme behind my divination challenge for the season of Capricorn, the Ice Breaker Challenge. I’m excited for this season, and I’ve been working on some new things, investing all of my free time into working on new projects. It’s exciting, but it’s also exhausting. A lot of what I do doesn’t make its way here, at least not directly, such as my work with runes or my Instagram video channel (IGTV) featuring one-card tarot readings and explanations for how I got to those interpretations.

I normally post a new tarot spread every month (in addition to all the spreads that are built into my challenges) and a new sample reading so those of you who are new to my tarot reading can get a sneak peek at what it might entail. This month, however, there aren’t any of those because they’re both included in my primary new project. I still managed to get the Capricorn season challenge out the day after Capricorn season started, and I’m sharing that in the next post, but that may be it from me before January arrives. I’m excited to be taking some much-needed vacation, and I can’t promise that either the new project or my next deck interview will make much progress during that. I’m okay with that. It’s important to find that twinkle of starlight on even the darkest nights.

There’s a New Moon eclipse tonight, and it marks the midway point of my work to cultivate the energy of Temperance over 13 New Moons. Although we’ve entered the season of hard working Capricorn, my rising sign, it’s been a waning moon cycle, and I think its timing has helped me to actually get serious about how I do my work and at what costs, as well as whence I derive value.

You’ll see that I introduce some new offerings in the next month, including services beyond just one-off readings, and I may consolidate some options to help new clients better understand their options. Prices for some readings will increase after this season, but not necessarily for all of them. I think that you’ll find the value also increases.

I wish you all a wonderful end of this year and a beautiful new year to come.
