Privacy & Confidentiality

When you purchase a service or product from me, you provide personally sensitive information. I take that sensitivity to heart, and I will not disclose any information about you or your purchase to a third party unless either a) I have your written permission and a compelling reason to do so, or b) there is a legal or ethical requirement to do so, such as a court order or threat of significant harm to self or others during a reading. Other communications through this site, such as a blog comment, or communications unrelated to your reading or a purchase may not be afforded such privacy, but please know that I value your privacy and have no intention of abusing your trust in me.

There is always risk of a privacy breach when conducting business online: no website or internet connection is perfectly secure, and I cannot guarantee the security of your interactions on this site or any electronic communications sent to me. The services I use as part of the operation of this site (e.g. SquareSpace, Square, Acuity, Google Suites, PayPal, Stripe) take precautions against both accidental exposure and nefarious intrusion, but I have no control over how third parties handle your data, so be mindful of what information you share online. Claims against privacy violations due to those third parties must be claimed against the relevant party. De-identified or anonymous information in the form of “cookies” may be captured for improved usability of this site, but you can control how cookies are used and captured in your individual web browser settings.

As someone who works with health data in my non-tarot life, I am trained in HIPAA and HI-TECH to use best practices when it comes to storing and securing personally identifiable information. And I will take reasonable precautions to safeguard any such information you provide from unauthorized sources.

Limits of Service

A spiritual professional cannot predict the future with certainty, and you should not rely on a reading to make any decision that would affect your legal, financial, or medical condition. If your inquiry involves the law, finance, or medicine, then you should seek the advice of a licensed or qualified legal, financial, or medical professional. Also, a reading cannot replace qualified mental health care. A reading can only facilitate how you cope spiritually with a given situation. In certain jurisdictions, a spiritual professional is required to disclose to you that tarot readings and similar should be for entertainment purposes only, and if such a law applies to your reading, then you are hereby on notice thereof.

That said, your reading with me is spiritual in nature and an expression of what I hold as sacred, so while I encourage you to treat what I say as being “for entertainment purposes only,” know that from my end, I do not treat it as entertainment. For me, it is a serious expression of my personal beliefs. A reading with me is designed to provoke deep thinking about a topic or situation, not to convey specific advice or direct a cause of action. In no way should your reading with me be construed as financial, legal, or medical advice. I am not a qualified financial advisor, licensed attorney, medical doctor, or mental health professional. A tarot reading with me is a form of metaphysical consultation; it is not a substitute for advice from specialized professionals, nor is it a guarantee of future events.

Readings are custom creations for a specific client at a specific time. A delivered reading is not subject to a refund. If you are unhappy with the quality or delivery of your reading (rather than just the outcome), then please contact me via email or the Contact Form on this site. I appreciate the feedback as I believe we should never stop learning or improving.

My books, decks, and other products are not subject to returns, but I will send you another copy of a physical product if the first one is significantly damaged. I am a very small indie self-publisher, and I distribute my own products from my home office, but I try to ensure that your physical orders are packed with care and attention and that they are protected from normal bumps along their path to you.
