Tarot Deep Dives, Part 2

It’s always a deep dive at Hermit’s Mirror, isn’t it?

My goal for Hermit’s Mirror—the whole reason and purpose, really—is to help diviners awaken to their full potential and re-align with their soul purpose.

The first step is providing you, diviners, with flexible tools to make the most of your natural talents. I want to help diviners become more knowledgeable so that you can be more confident and, importantly, precise. And precision comes from your intuition being able to communicate with an expanded vocabulary.

Tarot cards can mean any number of things. They are incredibly, and sometimes maddeningly, flexible. But it’s easy to run along the same pathways and shortcuts reading after reading if you haven’t learned the complex layers of meanings that the cards offer. When you learn those layers, your intuition has more “words” in its proverbial vocabulary with which to communicate. It’s why I teach layered strategies of interpretation in Read Tarot like a Nerd. Not all methods will appeal to you right away (or ever), so it’s good to explore different angles and see what clicks.

To help you do that, I’m exploring the minor arcana through multi-layered deep dives over on Instagram and Tumblr. But so that readers here are not missing out, here is the next batch of Tarot Deep Dives that I’ve created so far. Every six weeks or so, I plan to post the most recent deep dives. That way, you aren’t missing out any longer.

Consider the images below to be my nuanced version of “tarot card meanings.” Each deep dive includes the following aspects of each card: key concepts; number and element; astrology and timing; major influences (based on astrology); meanings in context to help put it all together; and a surprise, which is more surprising sometimes than others.

Part 2 features the following tarot cards. (You can find Part 1 here.) Click on the link to go to my overview of that whole suit’s tarot card meanings.

Let me know what you think, what you learned, what I missed, or whatever.

Oh, and if you’re curious about the cards, they either come from my Life Line Tarot: Color Outside the Lines edition or they’re digital mock-ups of cards I created using AI art. They aren’t part of any existing deck or planned future deck. I created them solely to demonstrate a concept from the cards that I wanted to highlight for the related image. That’s not to say that I won’t use them as the basis for my own creations in the future, but I prefer doing my own art for my decks (or working with talented human artists like Siolo Thompson and Eric Maille).
